Thanks to the microplush lining on the inside, the shorts are wonderfully warm. The plush lining absorbs less water, keeping you warmer, and dries quickly. The Hybrid Cargo shorts have larger pockets with Velcro Velcro - they contain elastics and a D-ring plus openings so that water can drain quickly and an extra pocket with zipper in which you can store small items.
