Cressi’s latest addition to its extensive line of world renowned fins is the Frog Plus open heel scuba diving fin. The Frog Plus features many of the great characteristics of a traditional paddle fin along with introducing a revolutionary new blade material that is both extremely durable and nearly indestructible. The Frog Plus utilizes Cressi’s patented three material injection molding process. The three materials consist of a nice comfortable rubber on the foot pocket that extends up the side rails of the blade.
Cressi has developed this special strap to meet the needs of the most demanding divers, who need a comfortable fastening for their foot but one that is still practical and manageable. Its special amply sized slot makes it very easy to put on, even when wearing thick gloves or three-fingered gloves for winter water. The wrapping section is highly flexible, making adjustments unnecessary, and as a result it’s much easier to get all your equipment right in the first few meters of your descent and the fin stays in place against your foot despite the increase in hydrostatic pressure.
BLADE
Cressi was the first manufacturer to use the thermoplastic rubber-blade foot pocket and also the first one to thermofuse in a single element three different materials to improve the effort transmission. The need to dispose of a removable version to install blades made of carbon or other different materials, leads us to the new Gara Modular, which allows the Cressi experience with a several materials composition and many features.
FOOTPOCKET
The self adjusting footpocket is constructed with the most modern multi compound joining process to deliver a footpocket that can offer comfort and suppleness around the foot where desired and yet have stiffer compounds under the footpocket and heel area where power transfer takes place.
The main feature of this fin is its polypropylene blade that provides an excellent response. And weight is no longer a problem.
These fins provide more thrust power to a diver’s kicking, which results into an excellent effort/performance ratio.
Special grooving for water channelling moulded on the surface provides outstanding stability and direction.
The thermorubber foot pocket (with varying levels of hardness) is very comfortable to wear and a proper fit is ensured by ergonomic design.
The heel strap, an exclusive Cressi design, is a special round bungee cord band that perfectly adjusts to all foot sizes and shapes and provides a comfortable, practical and manageable fastening.
